SUMMARY
The Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk is an entry-level position responsible for shipping and receiving,
inventory, and production/manufacturing support.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES (Duties and Responsibilities)
Ensures that incoming stock is unloaded and stored correctly and safely in the warehouse
Receives and counts items into warehouse inventory and accurately records the data into the
company's inventory management system
Unpacks and packs goods to be inventoried and stocks them according to inventory systems in
the warehouse, keeping stocked items organized and readily accessible
Compares the quantities of items physically present in the warehouse to inventory records in
the company's inventory management system; investigates discrepancies, and under
supervision adjusts errors in the system
Labels stock using the company's established guidelines
Cleans (sweeps, dusts, mops) and maintains the warehouse and the tools and equipment in the
warehouse to keep things in order and in compliance with federal, state, and local safety rules
Helps determine proper storage procedures and inventory control methods
Occasionally Engages customers in order to give details of shipping times and delivery estimates
Uses the inventory management system to prepare and stage manufacture and work orders; to
issue and match up purchase orders with incoming shipments; and to coordinate and organize
shipping orders
Completes pick-ups and deliveries by driving truck or van to and from local vendor locations.
