Tradebe Environmental Service is seeking a Government Service Chemist to assist the Operations Manager in managing the resources (i.e. People, office, equipment, and supplies) needed to meet customer contract requirements.
The selected candidate will create manifests, labels, and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR) from a Disposal Order (DO); and ensure proper classification, identification, packaging, and labelling of hazardous waste for transportation and disposal. In addition, the selected candidate will also be responsible for loading hazardous waste for transport per DOT requirements.
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science, or the equivalent in experience, is required. Previous experience in operating a forklift is preferred. The selected candidate is required to obtain a Class B Commercial Drivers License with hazardous materials endorsement within the first 120 days of employment.
This contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a). These regulations prohibit discrimination against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities, and prohibit discrimination against all individuals based on their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Moreover, these regulations require that covered prime contractors and subcontractors take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status or disability.
